BIO
I grew up in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey and played sports year round. By the time I was in high school I played 3 sports, soccer, basketball and track, achieving 12 varsity letters for all 4 years. When I went onto college at the University of Delaware, I never tried out for their soccer team and I have regretted it ever since. I missed playing sports, I missed competition and I missed the camaraderie of a team.

During college I joined my first gym because I didn't like the effects my bad eating habits were having on my body. As I changed my eating habits and my lifestyle, little by little, I started to see my body transform. I met a few girls that competed and I saw how gorgeous their bodies looked, toned and full with lean muscle. Being that my parents always encouraged me and told me I that I could do anything I put my mind too, I decided I could do it, but it would take a lot of work..

Competing in figure was a great opportunity for me to be able to have my career and compete since I could never make it to any soccer practices or games during the week because of work and a long commute.

I wanted to compete at the Garden State but my trainer said I needed more time and I wouldn't be ready. I was totally disappointed but I wanted to look my best so I waited a few more months until the Fall to compete. I competed in the South Jersey and took 1st in the short class, 2 weeks later i competed in the Gold Classic and took 2nd, the wait was well worth it.

After 2005, I took some time off to put on some more quality muscle but unfortunately because of schedule conflicts I wasn’t able to compete until 2008 in the Atlantic States, the Connecticut Grand Prix and at Jr. Nationals, my first National Level Show. This year I have my sights set on the USA’s.

The reason the I love the sport, although it is individual, is the will, determination and sacrifice that goes into it which creates a camaraderie amongst the athletes, knowing what we all pushed through to get here.
